SAFETY PROTOCOLS

  • PARENTS MAY DROP OFF STUDENTS, THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO REMAIN INSIDE THE BUILDING DURING THE TOURNAMENT.
  • PARENTS ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND THE AWARDS CEREMONY AND WILL BE ALLOWED INTO THE BUILDING 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE SCHEDULED START TIME OF THE AWARDS
  • WE ASK THAT EVERYONE SELF-SCREEN AND NOT TO ATTEND THE TOURNAMENT IF THEY ARE DISPLAYING ANY SYMPTOMS OF BEING SIC

US CHESS MEMBERSHIP

  • COACHES NEED TO COMPLETE THE USCF MEMBERSHIP FORM FOR PLAYERS REGISTERED WITH NO OR EXPIRED USCF MEMBERSHIP
  • PLAYERS WITHOUT A CURRENT MEMBERSHIP OR SUBMITTING THE REQUIRED INFORMATION WILL NOT BE PAIRED FOR ROUND 1 OR FOR FOLLOWING ROUNDS UNTIL THE US CHESS FORM IS COMPLETED
  • FORM CLOSES AT 4 PM ON THE FRIDAY BEFORE THE TOURNAMENT

REGISTRATION

  • SCHOOLS SHOULD REGISTER ALL STUDENTS THAT YOU MAY PLAY IN THE TOURNAMENT.
  • SECTION AND BOARD LINE UP WILL BE DONE THE WEEK OF THE TOURNAMENT VIA FORM THAT WILL BE SENT TO COACHES.
  • ONSITE SECTION/BOARD CHANGES ARE ALLOWED
  • COACHES ARE RESPONSIBLE TO CHECK THE ADVANCE ENTRY LIST AFTER REGISTERING TO VERIFY THEIR PLAYERS’ REGISTRATIONS
  • ANY ERROR ON A REGISTRATION MUST BE REPORTED BY 1 PM ON THE LAST DAY OF REGISTRATION VIA EMAIL TO DAHEISER@CPS.EDU. IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE TO THIS EMAIL BY 1 PM THE FOLLOWING DAY, YOU SHOULD FOLLOW UP WITH A PHONE CALL TO DAVID HEISER

CHAPERONES

SCHOOLS CAN HAVE 2 CHAPERONES, 3 IF 15 OR MORE STUDENTS ARE PLAYING IN THE TOURNAMENT. CHAPERONES MUST BE A CPS EMPLOYEE, LEVEL I OR II VOLUNTEER, OR A VENDOR.
