Join us for this exciting and fun workshop for Black History Month as part of the Cops & Kids Initiative*. The workshop is designed for both chess players and non-chess players alike.
Our Guest speakers are:
- Daaim Shabazz, Associate Professor of Business at Florida A&M University (USA) and publisher of the online chess blog The Chess Drum dedicated to covering the chess activities within the worldwide African Diaspora.
- Members of the Howard University Chess Club that recently came in first place for the Division Vl (U1400) category of the 2020-2021 Pan-American Intercollegiate Championship. News Article
