Academic Chess Needs Your Help

We need your help to send 100 Chicago Public Schools students to Washington D.C. for the US Chess National High School Chess Championship in March 2023. We ask that you share the below fundraising presentation with companies, foundations, friends, and family members who may be able to help.

Academic Competitions prides itself on being a pillar of academic excellence through our enrichment programs. Studies have shown that participating in academic competitions programs, such as chess, enhances students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a constructive setting. To that end, it is our goal to expose students to diverse opportunities and experiences through academia and scholarship. Often deemed ‘the game of life, chess is an outlet to the negativity that plagues our communities. Chess requires patience, attention to detail, and builds confidence which are all traits that are applicable to everyday living.

We lean on the generosity of corporate partners to help optimize these opportunities for our future leaders. Your investment will help shape the minds of the next generation.

Below is our presentation for your consideration. Within it you’ll find an overview of our plans for the students and ways your financial contributions will assist us in providing our students with this dynamic opportunity.
