Looking for more competitive action? Don’t miss the Chicago Prep Bowl Chess Tournament — a battle of strategy, teamwork, and school spirit!
This non-rated event is open to the Chicago Chess Conference and CPS High School Teams only.
While not a CPS-sponsored tournament, we are sharing this opportunity to assist CPS high schools interested in participating. Please note: there is an entry fee for teams.

👑 TOURNAMENT DETAILS
- This tournament satisfies the IHSA requirement for a team tournament as well as ICCA Endorsement.
- Participants cannot be switched between the teams during the tournament.
- Time: Check-in: 8:00-8:30 am.
- Schedule: R1-9:00, R2-11:15, R3-1:30, R4-3:45
- Awards: One traveling trophy is awarded to the winner of the Team Tournament
- Directions: Enter campus off Martin Luther King Drive, north of 111th St., head west to parking lot north of building and south of Baseball Field, enter building through door 11.
- Concessions will be available
📋 SECTIONS
- High School Section: HS Varsity Team Section (8 board, 4 rounds, Game 45/d5), teams must have at least 6 players. IHSA strength order rules for substitutions will be used.
- HS Individual Open Section (4 rounds, Game 30/d5)

- $35 per team
