Step into spring with the CPS Spring Online Chess Tournament!
As the season changes, it’s time to renew your focus and test your growth. This ChessKid-rated online event brings together students from across the CPS Academic Chess Program for one final virtual showdown before the school year ends.

🔐 ACCOUNT REQUIREMENTS
Students must have their ChessKid account connected to the CPS Enterprise account at least 3 days before the tournament.
SCHEDULE
- Join Tournament Opens: 9:45 AM
- Round 1 Begins: 10:00 AM (Rounds start ASAP after that)
🔹 SECTIONS / FORMATS
- Elementary Open [Grades K–6]
– 5-Round Individual Swiss
– Time Control: G/15;+5 - MS/HS Open [Grades 7–12]
– 4-Round Individual Swiss
– Time Control: G/40;+5
🏆 AWARDS
Certificates for 1st–3rd place in each section
Awards will be delivered to students’ school offices

Students joining after a round starts must wait for the next round
