Why This Matters
Chess is a powerful educational tool — one that builds problem-solving skills, resilience, confidence, and strategic thinking. Tournaments like the CPS Knights Quest give students a platform to grow, to challenge themselves, and to engage in meaningful experiences that extend far beyond the chessboard. Every student who participated took an important step on their journey as a thinker, competitor, and leader.
Thank You
A heartfelt thank you to all of our participating students, coaches, school chess clubs, and families for your commitment and support. We also extend our gratitude to the tournament staff and volunteers whose hard work and professionalism ensured a smooth and successful event from start to finish.
We are proud of every player for showing up, giving their best effort, showing respect, and contributing to the continued success of the CPS Academic Chess community.
