On Saturday, December 6, the Academic Chess community gathered for the 2025 CPS Kings & Queens Tournament — a celebration of competitive spirit, growth, and excellence across Chicago Public Schools. This year’s event brought together 262 students from 32 CPS schools, each ready to think boldly, play with focus, and represent their school communities with pride.
